For that, I would require the following things from you,

• Some notes, some ideas about the main lead, what does he/she wants.

• Tell me all you can about your idea/story/characters/true events. 

• Tell me if the setting is crucial for you.

• Even if it not important- tell me that too so that I can create according to the story. 

• It would be great if you have a clear idea of what you want to tell with this film. Not every movie has a message, but it's always about someone's (character) journey. For example, "A teenage girl does not believe in God, but towards the end of the movie, she is open to God's existence." 

• I will have to know what sort of material you have to quote you. 

• Do you have concept only with jotted down notes, OR well-structured synopsis or scene-by-scene treatment?

• Also, Some genres require more research than others. So, if you have material that saves time on research – do tell me.
